Container Depot Ltd. repairs containers in the biggest Finnish ports, Helsinki and Kotka. It is part of a larger company, Arctic Containers. They serve many of the most prominent logistical companies and are a well-known provider of services. The port of Helsinki is clearly the biggest port in Finland and the nearby area when measured with value or container volumes.


Challenges:

Container Depot was one of the first companies to see the potential in repairing containers instead of simply discarding them. This not only saves the environment but also cuts costs for their clients significantly. In order to be able to offer this service, they invested early on in developing an ERP system that could keep track of all the details of individual containers. 

The ERP system has been crucial in making Container Depot a success story. It has allowed them to keep track of every aspect of each container repair, from the initial EDI message from the client, to the final invoicing. Without it, they would not have been able to scale up their business to meet the demands of their clients.
